Report on geology of the Wachusett Reservoir area, 1992.

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) provides wholesale water and sewer services to Boston and sixty other communities, and rehabilitates and reconstructs area water supply and sewage treatment facilitites to preserve public health and protect natural resources. As part of the responsibility of its Waterworks Division to plan, design, and manage construction of the authority's waterworks, a study was conducted to assess geological conditions of the Wachusett Reservoir area in central Massachusetts, initially for seismic stability and later for feasibility of a bypass of the reservoir for water from the Quabbin Reservoir, resulting in this report.
